Description

The inspiration for the name 'Obesa Lodge' comes from the succulent 'Euphorbia Obesa', commonly known as the 'African Hut', which is indigenous to Graaff-Reinet. It is situated opposite the Obesa Cactus and Succulent Nursery, one of the 12 most spectacular succulent gardens in the world according to Succulent Paradise - Twelve Great Gardens of the World.

Arriving at Obesa Lodge is as if you are at the end of a rainbow and it is this sense of enjoyment that the owner, hopes will spread to her guests. Each of Obesa's accommodation units has been decorated according to various themes like Spring Breeze, Sterling and Dusk2Dawn. All are welcome - whether a large group, couples, a family, or a single tourist.

The self-catering units include different-sized cottages for couples and families of a maximum of 5 people. The budget twin, queen and single rooms provide affordable accommodation for tour groups as well as the traveller with more basic needs. All the units and rooms have their own private entrances and are furnished with comfortable beds, electric blankets, air-cons, small fridges, microwaves, TVs with Hotel DStv package, etc.

Obesa Lodge has 2 safe, off-street parking areas with remote-controlled gates, braai facilities, a swimming pool with a baby pool and swings for children. Herotel Fibre Internet access is available in the rooms. It is also conveniently situated and close to museums and restaurants.
