Description

Plato Lodge is a luxury lodge situated in Augrabies and is the perfect place to come rest and look up at the stars. It is located about 40 km from the Augrabies National Park and on the way to the beautiful Namaqualand flowers. Please note that there is a gravel road of 39 km leading up to the lodge. It is suitable for low-clearance vehicles.

Accommodation comprises 5 Double Rooms. Each room has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom that has a double shower, basin and toilet. There are also rooms with 2 single beds. In-room amenities include a mini-bar and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Every room has a balcony with 2 chairs and a coffee table that looks out over the plato and mountains. The lodge is green and only uses solar power and there is free Wi-Fi available.

There are a few mountain bike routes including the 5 km beginner green route, the 11 km advance red route, the 16 km white route and 21 km Brown route, both for beginners, and the black route which is 11 km and for advanced plus riders.

Other activities include hiking trails, the most beautiful places for photographing, , fishing and swimming in the Orange River, and bird watching. There is no swimming pool.

Plato Lodge is the perfect destination for fly fishing. Boats can hire at the lodge and for bait fishing we hire rods and hooks. Provide your own bait. Fly fishing bring your own equipment but boats can be hire.
