Description
Shikwari Nature Reserve is located on the reserve near Kruger Park and The Panorama Route.
Accommodation consists of 2 camps, namely the 4-star graded Shikwari Suites camp with 6 suites and the Pangolin Rondavels, which are not graded but feature 4 rondavels.
The 6 TGCSA graded Shikwari Suites are located in the natural bushveld. Each suite has a private bathroom fitted with an outdoor shower. Other amenities also include a mini fridge stocked on request, freshly ground coffee, a French coffee press, quality teas, fresh coffee, and homemade cookies. Toiletries, gowns, towels and percale bed linen are provided.
The main camp has a licensed bar with a lounge with a full DSTV Premium package. Free Wi-Fi is available at the Shikwari Suites' main lounge area and the verandah area.
Guests can relax on the shaded verandah and cool off in the swimming pool; pool towels provided. Breakfast & dinner are served on the stoep or deck-boma. There is no self-catering option available at this camp.
The 4 Pangolin Rondavels are a convenient comfortable semi self catering option. The camp is approximately 500m away from the main lodge. Any meals booked are served at the Shikwari Suites camp. This camp has 2 rondavels with a private bush bathroom that is fitted with an outdoor shower, covered toilet and basin. Two other rondavels share a separate bathroom and outdoor shower. All bed linen and towels are provided. Guests are required to provide their own swimming towels, table/kitchenware & braai tools. There is a kitchenette with a gas hob/electric oven and wash-up area.
Rondavels have a ceiling fan, wardrobe, seating area, tea- and coffee-making facilities and a small fridge-freezer.
There is also swimming pool. Guest are requested to bring their own swimming towels .
The reserve is home to free-roaming giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, impala, nyala, bushbuck, duiker, steenbok and ostriches, as well as an amazing variety of bird species, especially during spring and summer.
All activities are conducted by third-party suppliers, and guests are not charged extra for this service, the rate is the same as the supplier. Bookings ahead with us to avoid disappointment and pay at the lodge.
