Unpleasant, the host was rude, I will not recommend Brookdale House to anyone!

My stay was extremely unpleasant. The host didn't welcome me at all and didn't take the time to explain the process of exiting. He didn't provide me with the keys until I asked for them and had to ask him how to exit the property in the morning. After a very unpleasant welcome and settling into my room, he knocked loudly on my door without apologising and asked me what time I would like my breakfast to be served. Breakfast was served to me in the evening at 6pm. It consisted of a bacon and egg sandwich, with small pieces of sausage, a small juice, and a packet of Frito's (who still eats Fritos). This was totally disgusting, and I was so shocked. Even though I told him I was checking out at 07am the next morning, I left the breakfast in the room the next day for the host to realize that the sandwich was not fresh. When I enquired if I could use an iron to prepare for work, I was told that the cleaning staff would only arrive at 08am. Wow, I was totally shocked and disappointed.

Brilliant hosts, warm and inviting. Excellent value for money.

The owners, Kevin and Herman, are excellent hosts. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and help you. Food is great and very neat and large rooms.
